Welcome
Welcome to ScotGEN's resources for teachers, lecturers and tutors. We hope you will find a range of resources on these pages which will be helpful to you in your teaching.
Register First
First, please register with ScotGEN. Doing so will enable you to become a full member of ScotGEN, giving you access to the resources available through these pages. Registering will ensure that you receive our bi-annual Newsletter and regular News Bulletins directly by email.
You can access a variety of resources using the menu on the left of this page. The Educators' Pages are being developed to provide information of particular relevance to those involved in genetics education. We plan to add to this over the coming months, and have many learning objects in the pipeline.
Our Learning Resources are divided into 5 subject areas:
Family history and genetic counselling
Antenatal screening and the newborn
Under each subject you will find useful learning objects such as animations and factsheets, for you to view, download and print out.

Evaluation and Feedback
When you download a learning object from the ScotGEN site you will be invited to give us feedback on it. This will enable us to make changes or create new learning objects, as required.
A feedback form will be sent by email 4 weeks after you have downloaded the learning object.
Please contact us if you would like to make any comments about the site. All your comments are welcome and will help us tailor the site to your needs.
We also provide a regulated Message Board, which we encourage you to use. (You must be registered with ScotGEN to have acces to this).
